Associate Director of Student Success

Gary Cecil, First Generation/Student-Athlete Success Coach of the Center for Academic and Professional Performance (CAPP), came to мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ University in 2021. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Eastern Illinois University. In the CAPP office Gary supports students by serving as a student development advisor, assisting with academic advising, and helping students sharpen their studying skills. Gary also works closely with the EDGE program helping first year students with the transition into higher education and also assists with мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾ Athletics’ study tables. Prior to his time at мÓÆÂÁùºÏ²Ê¹Ù·½ÍøÕ¾, Gary has served as a Child Welfare Specialist for the Department of Child and Family Services and Teaching Assistant for Elementary students. In his free time Gary enjoys coaching high school sports.
