A good place to help you search for songs because they have short sound files of many broadway recordings. Type the name of the show in the Amazon search box, click on the link to the original cast recording, then click on the sound bite of the song you'd like to hear. They don't play the the entire song, just about a 20 second section, but you should find it helpful in getting the basic idea of what a song sounds like.

The British Library Sound Archive has a large collection of recordings suitable for the study of accents and dialects. Most oral history collections held by the Archive contain recordings of dialect and accent interest, and searching the catalog by locality or place-name is one means of accessing such material.

Its home is the Department of Theatre and Film at the University Of Kansas, in Lawrence, KS, USA; while associate editors form a global network. All recordings are in English, are of native speakers, and you will find both English language dialects and English spoken in the accents of other languages. The recordings are downloadable and playable for both PC and Macintosh computers
