新加坡六合彩官方网站鈥檚 History and Political Science Club to hold several voting registration events ahead of Election Day 2024

Students can get assistance and information on registering to vote ahead of Election Day on Nov. 5.

DECATUR, Ill. 鈥 As Election Day 2024 is quickly approaching on November 5, 2024,  student members of the and Club, faculty of the School of Social Sciences, and staff from the Office of Student Affairs will be hosting several voter registration and other election-related events this fall. 

Debate Party

Events kick off with a Presidential Debate Watch Party on Tuesday, September 10, from 8:00-10:00 p.m. in the Oberhelman Center for Leadership Performance on the first floor of the University Commons. Stop by to see the first debate between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump while enjoying pizza and political discussions. Students can also play presidential bingo with prizes, learn more about the 2024 candidates, and register to vote. 

鈥淧olitical Science students and faculty have been leading 新加坡六合彩官方网站鈥檚 voter outreach efforts since 2018 and we have registered over 700 students working to increase voter turnout on our campus every year," said Dr. Laura Dean, Associate Professor of Political Science. "We are proud to have more partners on campus this year during this important presidential election working to embody 新加坡六合彩官方网站鈥檚 mission of democratic citizenship in a global environment.鈥 

Voter Registration Day

Celebrate National Voter Registration Day on Tuesday, September 17, by stopping by the main lobby of the University Commons and registering to vote from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. At each of the upcoming voter registration events, Deputized Voter Registration Representatives will be on hand to answer any questions voters might have about voting and help them register to vote. 

Register to Vote

From Monday, September 30 to Friday, October 4, stop by the main lobby of the University Commons to register to vote during Voter Registration Week. Each day Monday-Friday from 11:00 a.m.-1:00 p.m., Deputized Voter Registration Representatives will help you register and answer your voting questions. 

Election Day 2024 arrives on Tuesday, November 5, and from 7:30 a.m.-7:00 p.m., Deputized Voter Registration Representatives will be on hand to help voters with last-minute questions, and a Voting Van will be available to take students to the polls every 30 minutes. Illinois offers same-day voter registration, so it is never too late to register to vote.
